Last Monday we had a weather out break in North Texas. I got to leave early from work and I went out to chase the storms. I mainly targeted the Montague/Cooke coubty line. Here are some of the photos.
Thanks.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd Plus Possible Chase 9/21/09...
The 2009 Texas Oklahoma Fair was a sucess for me. I received 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place all three of my entries placed in the competition. I was very excited to hear the news. For those of you who don't know which photos were entered, I have placed them farther down in the post.
Autumn is coming upon us. September 22 marks for the official season change, with this change comes a nice cold front with the potential for severe thunderstorms. Models don't predict supercells, but they could form into a squall line with marginally severe hail and damaging winds. So I might be out chasing if I can.
Look for the new updates.
Thanks.

Some New Pics and The 2009 Texas-Oklahoma Fair...
I haven't had many opportunites to go out shooting lately. We had a three day period where it just rained and my poor '03 Chevy Malibu doesn't handle mud very well. I can not visit my normal spots for photos and I have been cooped up in the house these past few days. So I am posting some older (a few weeks) photos that I haven't shared yet.
I am also posting a recent shoot at the Texas-Oklahoma Fair. I had an opportunity to meet up with the Red River Photography Club to take some long exposure photos. It was really worth it. Not quite like the stuff I am used to shooting, but I still think I got some good shots.
Thanks for viewing!

09/03/09 Local Lightning...
Around 11:00 pm last night I checked the radar and saw there was a cluster of isolated thunderstorms in Quanah, TX. I loaded up all my gear and drove towards Harrold, TX. By the time the storms reached Vernon they started to produce some amazing CC and CG lightning. I found a nice spot and set up the camera. Here are some of the results.
